Ramah garden view

This view is from the varandah of the house at Ramah looking east.
It was a cloudy afternoon and a shaft of light lit the hills just past the garden area.
The huge gum was planted soon after the Anglo Boer War (1899-1902). The flowering "Pride of India" was planted to mark the birth date of my father in 1932. Our climate is so harsh for it that it is only about 3m high. "London Plain" trees leaves and branches creep into the picture right and left foreground.
